Frequently Asked Questions
After being told that a piece she had made was 'gorgeous but too expensive' - after hours of work and plenty of skill development - artist Olivia Thompson dreamed of creating a store dedicated to promoting the artistry and value of beautiful handmade pieces. We know that handmade and artist-designed costs more than mass-produced and AI-'created', but we also know that there is intrinsic value built into supporting makers and artists - those who dream a little bit 'too long', who seek to find joy and beauty in small moments, and who sacrifice to be able to spend time creating and fashioning lovely things.
Naturally, handmade and small-batch items will be more fragile - but we think that therein lies their beauty!
JEWELLERY CARE
To keep your jewellery items looking beautiful for longer, please follow these care steps:
For stainless steel jewellery:
This will not tarnish but it can become dull over time due to the natural oils and lotions on our skin. To restore the shine of stainless steel jewellery simply spray or wipe with methylated spirits and then polish gently with a non-scratch lint free cloth (a glasses cleaning cloth works well!).
For sterling silver jewellery:
Clean sterling silver jewellery with a very mild dish soap and a very soft clean toothbrush. Wipe dry gently with a soft cloth.
LINEN TEA TOWEL CARE
Wash your linen tea towels on a cool gentle machine wash setting. Not recommended for dryer.
We are passionate about supporting Australian made and Australian designed. With the exception of some of our packaging, ALL our products are made in Australia - right down to the pretty gift wrap we are pleased to provide as complimentary!
We personally select each and every product after researching the makers behind the scenes and are proud to be establishing good relationships with a number of artists and makers who share our values of sustainable over greed, thoughtful over mass-produced and community-minded over corporate.
